What is FP Markets minimum deposit?
FP Markets have a minimum deposit requirement of just $100 or the equivalent in your preferred currency. This means that you can open an account and start trading with a relatively small amount when compared to some brokers who require a minimum deposit of $500 or more.
The $100 minimum deposit applies to the MT4/MT5 Standard and Raw accounts. The IRESS platform on the other hand has a minimum deposit of $1,000.
How do I deposit money into FP Markets?
FP Markets have a selection of quick and easy funding options that helps make the deposit and withdrawal process as convenient as possible. Funds can be deposited using a variety of payment methods including credit card, debit card, payment wallets including Neteller, Skrill, PayPal, Poli Pay, online banking and bank wire transfer. They also accept broker to broker transfers upon request.
FP Markets cannot accept third party payments, all funds must be received directly from the named account holder. If you wish to make a deposit from a joint bank account, you will need to open a joint trading account.
You can make a deposit from with the secure client area by clicking on “funding” which is located on the left-hand side then selecting “deposit” and choosing the account you wish to make a deposit into before hitting “submit”.

What are FP Markets deposit fees?
FP Markets do not charge any deposit fees and will cover internal bank fees for all international deposits. You should check to see if you will incur any bank fees from your side. The broker will cover international bank fees for deposits over $10,000, if the fee is not more than $50.
FP Markets only passes on the fees applied by their merchants for the electronic deposits or withdrawals made to and from your trading account. On occasions, depending on the method of deposit or withdrawal, fees may be applied by merchant transferring the money.
How do I withdraw money from FP Markets?
You can quickly and easily withdraw funds from your FP Markets account from within your client area using the same methods as you can to make deposits, including bank transfer, credit/debit card and a variety of online payment processors.
If you have used several deposit methods, you will need to withdraw the same amount you deposited back to each one, starting with any card deposits.
All withdrawals can only be made back to a bank account in the same name as the clients FP Markets trading account FP Markets is only able to apply funds received in the same name as the clients FP Markets trading account and hence are unable to accept third-party payments.
Deposits made by credit or debit cards will be refunded to the card. Any profits will be transferred back to a bank account in the same name as the trading account.
The time taken to receive your withdrawal will depend on the method you used. The majority of withdrawal options take 1 business day whereas international bank transfers can take between 2-5 days to clear.

FP Markets charges among the lowest trading commission fees in the industry. MetaTrader standard accounts have no fees as they are included within the spread. The raw account has a very competitive $3 charge per side, totalling $7 per round turn per 100,000 traded. You also get tight spreads on the raw account, starting from zero pips.
IRESS accounts have fees from 0.08% with no minimum. There are three account sizes, 1-25K, 25K to 50K and 50K plus. This corresponds to 0.10% with a $10 minimum, 0.09% with a $9 minimum and 0.08% with no minimum, this applies for all ASX trading.
What are the FP Markets platform fees?
The FP Markets platform fee charged depends on the trading platform you choose to use. The MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platform are both free to use, as is the IRESS Mobile version which is available on iOS/Android devices.
However, if you wish to utilise sophisticated IRESS Trader/ViewPoint trading platform with advanced functionality, there is a very reasonable $55 monthly fee, including GST. This fee is waived when if you execute a certain number of trades or generate enough commission.
Are there any FP Markets inactivity fees?
FP Markets do not apply an inactivity fee which is good as your account will not be charged even if you do not use it for a sustained period of time. Some other brokers start to chip away at your funds if there is no account activity.
What are FP Markets account types?
FP Markets offer Standard or Raw accounts MetaTrader 4 / MetaTrader 5 accounts. The main difference between the accounts is that the Standard account has a spread mark-up with no commission fee charged whereas the Raw account has spreads from just 0.0 pips and a small commission fee of $7 per 1 lot traded.

FP Markets offers leverage of up to 1:500 on positions in FX and precious metal CFDs. For stocks the leverage is based on the particular characteristics of the stock in question. Usually large cap stocks are on 5% to 20% margin rates
Leverage basically means that you can trade a larger position than you would be able to without it. For example, if you have capital of $2,000 and borrow $100 for every dollar from your broker, you will have $200,000 to trade with.
Whilst leverage can increase profit potential from winning trades, it can also greatly increase the risk. It is therefore of the upmost importance that you have a clear understanding of leverage, how it works and the risks involved, before trading online with leveraged positions at any broker.
What are FP Markets margin stop out levels?
When your margin level falls to 100% you will be in margin call, and FP Markets will attempt to contact you via email to inform you. Stop out is at 50% margin level, and trades will be automatically closed starting from those with the largest loss. Keep in mind that the stop out is not an automated process on the IRESS platform, instead it is managed by the brokers risk team who will contact you if required.
